Ebates is a great tool if you’re going to be doing any online shopping. They have thousands of online retailers they offer cash back for – just for going through them.
It’s incredibly easy: Just go to their website, go to the link for the store you’re interested in shopping from (i.e. Macy’s or Borders) and it takes you directly to the merchant’s website. That’s it! Ebates will keep track of your order and send you a percentage back of your total purchase. This varies per store - some will offer 5% and others as much as 20 or 30%. For example, if you spend $100 at Macys.com, Ebates will send you $5 back in the form of a check (mailed quarterly, every 4 months). Plus, you get $5 just for signing up!
This is also a great tool when planning a trip because Travelocity, Hotels.com, Hotwire, and Expedia are all participating merchants. It’s free to sign up – I’ve already made $12 by purchasing things I was planning to buy anyway!
